Walleva, LLC (“Walleva,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates walleva.com and is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Contact and shipping details: name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address
  • Payment information: credit/debit card details, PayPal account — processed securely by our payment processors (see Section 3). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Order history: products purchased, order dates, amounts, and returns or exchanges
  • Customer communications: messages you send by email or text, including return and support requests
  • Newsletter subscription: email address, if you voluntarily subscribe

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URL, and links clicked
  • Device information: device type, screen resolution, and language settings
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: see Section 4

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders
  • Send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and tracking updates
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims
  • Respond to customer service inquiries and complaints
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Analyze and improve our website, products, and customer experience
  • Send promotional emails and product announcements — only if you have opted in; you may unsubscribe at any time
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers necessary to operate our business, and only to the extent needed:

  • Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform provider. Shopify hosts our store, processes checkout, and stores order data on our behalf. See Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
  • Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and PayPal — payment processors that handle credit card and alternative payment transactions. Both are PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. Your payment credentials are handled directly by these processors and are never stored on our servers.
  • Shipping carriers — USPS and other carriers receive your name and delivery address to fulfill shipments. Carriers may retain delivery records as required by their own policies.
  • Analytics providers — we may use services such as Google Analytics to understand site usage. These tools collect anonymized, aggregated data using cookies. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You may opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out.
  • Email marketing platforms — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by Shopify Email or our email service provider, and used solely for sending the communications you requested.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government authority, or to protect the legal rights, safety, or property of Walleva or its customers.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — and similar technologies to enable core functionality and analyze usage.

Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the shopping cart, checkout, and account features to function. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand which pages customers visit and how they navigate the site. Data is aggregated and anonymized (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Functional cookies: Remember your preferences (e.g., currency, language) to improve your experience.
  • Marketing/advertising cookies: May be placed by third-party advertising platforms if you have opted into marketing communications. These allow relevant ads to be shown on other sites you visit.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS)
  • Payment data is processed by PCI-DSS compliant processors and never stored on our servers
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need

No internet transmission is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that creates a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law, without undue delay.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary:

  • Order records: retained for 7 years for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution purposes
  • Customer service communications: retained for 2 years
  • Marketing preferences: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (subject to legal retention requirements) by contacting us at cs@walleva.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at cs@walleva.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

All customers

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting cs@walleva.com
  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)

EU / EEA residents — GDPR rights

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access (Art. 15): request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”), where no legal obligation requires us to retain it
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18): request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object (Art. 21): object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7): where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email cs@walleva.com with “GDPR Request” in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents — CCPA / CPRA rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the following rights:

  • Right to know: request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and how it is used and shared
  • Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected from you
  • Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of sale / sharing: we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfill your order
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as YouTube, social media platforms, or o-review.com). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Our website does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals, as there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to them. You may use browser cookie controls (see Section 4) to limit tracking.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
